Hi, I'm Jerry Jodice, president of Lost Cat Records. I founded Lost Cat three years ago in part to create an outlet for some of the great music I was beginning to hear on the internet, music that simply wasn't available anywhere else. Much of it still isn't — until now.

I'm pleased to introduce the Lost Cat Picks series of sampler albums featuring some of some of the best indie music on the planet. If there's a common thread, it would be this: if I don't love it, you won't find it here. Did you ever have a friend who spent hours making mix tapes or CDs, and that — even though the mix might contain songs you'd never heard before — your friend had good taste and you trusted his or her judgment, and it usually turned out to be cool music? Think of me as that friend. Enjoy.
